Our 2015 Appeal

Dear Friend of St. Joseph By the Sea,
How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy that we feel before our God because of you.  (1 Thessalonians 3:9)

We pause to praise God with much gratitude for His bountiful blessings to us at St. Joseph By the Sea.  We want you and your loved ones to know that you are counted among our prayers and blessings.

srbruniOn October 29, 2012, we evacuated St. Joseph By the Sea and “Sandy” arrived that evening.  Our retreat house was visited by the ocean big time – the entire first floor was destroyed and much destruction was done to the outside of the house and grounds.  We were left to ponder two months later what was most important in our lives.  Over a year and a half have passed since Hurricane Sandy wreaked havoc.  Our mission as Religious Teachers Filippini was and has been to rebuild.

St. Joseph By the Sea has offered and continues to offer a prayerful space for all who come to rest awhile in order to return home with needed energy to bring God’s love and peace to those with whom they minister.

In January 2014, we were able to open our doors to retreatants.  This year we begin our 2015 Appeal.  The cost has been significant and we want to continue to update and improve our retreat house and it’s furnishings so that they are more accommodating for those who come, especially those with special needs.

For these and more reasons, we come to you to ask if it is possible for you to help us in our efforts to continue our ministry here at St. Joseph By the Sea.  We are most grateful for your generosity and kindness throughout the years which has helped us in restoring our Holy Ground.

Perhaps you would like to make a donation in memory of a loved one or in honor of a loved one/family.  For donations of $500 or more, the names will be inscribed on our Recognition Plaque located in the foyer.  Regardless of the amount, we sincerely appreciate the spirit of the gift.

Please consider a donation and make checks payable to St. Joseph By the Sea.  A donation of $250 or more is tax deductible and the proper form will be sent to you upon receipt of your gift.

With much gratitude, blessings, and peace,
God bless you,

bruni sig
